Rooting for the Future: Launching Our Mangrove Nursery & Restoration Initiative!

We're excited to announce a significant step towards a greener and more resilient Port Barton! Join us as we launch our Mangrove Nursery this July, with an initial stock of 10,000 seedlings dedicated to the vital task of mangrove restoration in our beloved coastal areas.

Mangroves are the unsung heroes of our ecosystem, providing crucial habitats, protecting our coastlines from erosion, and acting as natural carbon sinks. Recognizing their importance, we're empowering our community to actively participate in their revival through a unique sponsorship program.

Sponsor a Greener Future: Name Your Own Mangrove Garden or Seedling!

You now have the opportunity to directly contribute to the restoration of our precious mangrove forests! Through our partnership with the Luntian Darapiton Agriculture Cooperative, you can sponsor:

  • A Garden of Mangroves: Make a significant impact by sponsoring a designated area for mangrove planting.

  • Individual Seedlings: Every single seedling counts! For a contribution of 50 pesos, you can sponsor a mangrove seedling and have it named after yourself or a loved one. This is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy and directly support our environmental efforts.

How Your Sponsorship Works:

  • All sponsored seedlings will be expertly planted and cared for by the Luntian Darapiton Agriculture Cooperative.

  • Your contribution of 50 pesos per seedling goes directly to the Luntian Darapiton, providing them with the capital to sustain their agricultural endeavors and ensure the success of the mangrove restoration project.

  • Our Commitment to Growth: The Luntian Darapiton Agriculture Cooperative is dedicated to the success of every seedling. They guarantee replacement for any sponsored seedling that does not survive, ensuring that your contribution directly translates to a thriving mangrove forest.

  • Sustainable Restoration: By channeling sponsorship funds through the Luntian Darapiton, we are creating a sustainable model for mangrove restoration, eliminating wasted resources and empowering our local community.

Join Us This July for the Launch!

Starting on the first day of July and continuing throughout the month, we will be celebrating the launch of our Mangrove Nursery and the commencement of regulated mangrove planting efforts led by the Luntian Darapiton Agriculture Cooperative.

Stay tuned for details on how you can sponsor a mangrove seedling or a garden and become a vital part of this crucial environmental initiative.

Let's work together to root a stronger, healthier future for Port Barton, one mangrove at a time!

Making Waves of Change: Signing Our Commitment to Port Barton's Future!

Join us for a momentous occasion as we solidify our dedication to the pristine beauty and vibrant life of the Port Barton Marine Park!

We, the Guardians and Protectors of Port Barton Marine Park, are taking a powerful step forward by creating a Wall of Commitment. This symbolic act represents our unified pledge to safeguard this invaluable natural treasure for generations to come.

Event Highlights:

  • Signing of the Wall of Commitment: Witness as representatives from the Port Barton Marine Park, Port Barton Tourist Service Cooperative (BANGKEROS), Port Barton Scubasurero, Luntian-Eco Guardians, and the wider community inscribe their names and promises onto a specially prepared structure. This collective signing underscores our shared responsibility and unwavering commitment.

  • Underwater Foundation Setting: Following the signing ceremony, the Wall of Commitment will be carefully and respectfully set underwater within the designated boundaries of the Port Barton Marine Park. This act symbolizes the deep roots of our dedication and serves as a lasting reminder of our promise to protect the marine ecosystem.

Why this matters:

This Wall of Commitment will serve as:

  • A visual testament to our collective responsibility as guardians of this marine sanctuary.

  • A foundational marker, representing the strong base upon which our conservation efforts are built.

  • An inspiring symbol for future generations, reminding them of the importance of environmental stewardship.

Be a part of this significant milestone!

While the actual underwater setting requires specialized divers, we invite everyone to participate in the signing ceremony and show their support for the long-term health of Port Barton Marine Park.

Stay tuned for the date, time, and location of the Wall of Commitment signing ceremony! Follow this page and our social media channels for updates.

Together, let's make waves of change and ensure a thriving future for Port Barton's incredible marine environment!
